“GOP launches legal war on absentee voting ahead of Georgia runoffs”
POLITICO

With early voting already underway, Republican groups have launched a last-ditch attempt to potentially stop thousands of voters from voting by mail in the January 5th Senate runoffs.

Earlier today federal judges heard arguments in one of three new GOP-led cases aimed at making it more difficult for Georgians to vote by absentee ballot.

It’s an attempt at voter suppression, plain and simple. (Something Georgians know way too much about.)

Stacey Abrams’ Fair Fight is one of the key organizations leading efforts to fight voter suppression and get out the vote in Georgia. Pitch in whatever you can here to support this critical work and boost the fight to flip the Senate in January:

With the pandemic now surging, Georgia voters need the ability to cast their ballots by mail in order to safely exercise their constitutional right to vote.

But it’s clear that after Trump’s historic defeat in Georgia, Republicans are more determined than ever to keep their grip on power. Once again, they are trying to use the courts to advance their narrow political agenda.

With just 19 days left in the runoffs, these Senate races are still too close to call. Our ability to mobilize Georgia voters over the final stretch of the race and get every vote out will determine the future of the Senate and the success of the Biden-Harris administration’s legislative priorities.

The Georgia election is our final chance to end Mitch McConnell’s stranglehold over the agenda of the U.S. Senate for the next two years.

Thank you for being part of this.
