Early voting is underway in Georgia, and the GOP is trying to buy their way to victory with the help of millionaire donors and nasty attack ads.

Just a few weeks ago, they held a lavish fundraiser to help David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler keep their seats in the Senate. Tickets cost $25,000 per couple, and guests were promised a special appearance by Mitch McConnell.

It was exactly the kind of exclusive event that leads Americans to believe their voices and votes don't matter, while the wealthy simply buy access, favors, and even entire Senate seats.

We can't allow the GOP to sell these runoff elections -- and the fate of the Senate majority -- to those who can afford to attend $25,000 fundraisers.

It comes as no surprise that Perdue and Loeffler are counting on the mega-wealthy to win their races. They're two of the wealthiest members of the Senate, and were both implicated in insider trading at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These two are committed to lining their own pockets and those of their wealthy friends. And if they keep their seats in the runoff election, we can expect more of the same to come.
