Dear John,
2020 has been a hard year. Our community has fought back against discrimination in COVID-19 treatment, attacks against our right to home- and community-based services, and police violence that disproportionately affects Black and brown autistic people. We’ve worked to make sure all people with disabilities can go to school without fear of restraint or seclusion, and get the services we need to live freely in our communities. You’ve been part of all those fights alongside us, and we’re grateful for everything you do to work towards a better world. By donating this holiday season, you can continue to fuel our work in the year to come. Will you join us?
As we look ahead to the policy battles of 2021, we must use this time to fight for major changes that weren’t within reach before — all while continuing to train the next generation of autistic community leaders at ACI, and make resources that everyone in our community can access. We believe that all means all, and when it comes to who can join the fight for justice, nobody should be left behind. Now more than ever, we believe that message is important.
Will you help us continue our work? There are many ways you can help:
- Donate to us directly here
- Set up a Facebook fundraiser to support us. It’s easy, free, and goes directly to us!
- Become an ASAN member. For as little as $3 a month, you get exclusive perks for your support! Plus, you join a growing network of self-advocates and allies who get behind-the-scenes looks at what we’re up to.You can also give the gift of a membership by making a donation in someone’s name today.
- Spread the word! The more people who hear about us, the more people our work can reach.
- Share our toolkits so everyone has the info they need to advocate for themselves and others.
- Take action through our Action Center! Equip yourself with everything you need to make your voice heard.
By giving today, you can support our work in 2021 and beyond! The fight to ensure justice for all autistic people doesn’t end here — and we’ll be fighting by your side for as long as we need to.
