We have great news! New Florida Majority will officially merge with Organize Florida on January 1st to become a statewide grassroots powerhouse — Florida Rising. Florida Rising will be a living and breathing entity created by the people for the people and a representation of the people who move us.

It is our duty to make a better, stronger and more organized movement in Florida. We need to elect more progressive legislators, build stronger communities and organize more people in order to combat the stronghold rightwing forces have built in our state. Our collective power, creativity and love for our communities will get us to victory. A decade after NewFM’s founding, we’re prepared to build power so that we can’t be ignored.

We will be one of the biggest power building groups in the country fighting for the changes we need for our communities, and coming together means that Black and Brown communities and everyone excluded by the current status quo will have a vehicle to win the policies and the representation that we deserve.

We are so excited about the future of Florida Rising, and even more excited to have you, an integral part of our movement family, accompany us on this journey. We know together, this state will be one that values each and every life. We cannot wait to build that future with you.
