Things are bad, John.
Two weekends in a row, protests outside the Washington state capitol ended in a shooting. Heavily-armed demonstrators protesting Trump’s loss clashed with counter-protesters and the results were horrifying.
In NYC, a man fired into a crowd of hundreds gathered for an outdoor Christmas concert. In Louisville, two leaders of the protests over Breonna Taylor’s murder were shot and killed within weeks of each other.
This week, we told you about our plans for the year ahead. We’re ready to take on the gun lobby, tamp down on armed extremists, defend critical gun violence prevention measures, and more. But we are facing an uphill battle. Gun lobby zealots are fired up and COVID threatens to stall or undo all of our progress.

We know what needs to be done to protect our schools and communities from the scourge of gun violence. We have the expertise and experience to get meaningful, evidence-based gun safety policies and programs passed, but right now we don’t have the funding we need to make sure we can get it done. Can you pitch in $15 today to support our lifesaving work in 2021?

We have a proven track record. Last legislative session, we passed five crucial gun safety bills and secured an incredible $14.3 million in gun violence prevention funding. None of that success would have been possible without your support. With your help, we can keep up the momentum and keep our communities safe.
Please, make a contribution today to help us continue fighting to end preventable gun violence:
