John,
Imagine 2021 being way better than the chaotic year behind us. Instead of wildfires, growing police violence, and a school-to-prison pipeline, imagine major investments that accelerate America's transition to a more inclusive green economy, bringing more people home from behind bars, and a school-to-tech-industry pipeline that changes the face of Fortune 500 companies.
When we stand together with Black, Brown, and low-income people and put solutions first, we can decide on a future of community, not chaos. We have done it before, and we can do it again — if we have the resources. Can you help?
Together, we decide the future. Make your tax-deductable year-end gift to Dream Corps now.
Here's the plan to make it all happen:
- Dream Corps will push tough, soulful, intersectional work that replaces the chaos in our streets, our communities, and at our dinner tables with a movement of people choosing to find community and common ground without sacrificing our values.
- Dream Corps #cut50 will build on the federal reforms of the First Step Act, and double the size of the Empathy Network — our body of grassroots advocates directly impacted by the broken criminal justice system — and empower Members to influence decision-makers and lead the movement for additional reforms.
- Dream Corps Green For All will connect with unlikely allies to find common ground for climate action that benefits low-income and communities of color, bringing good clean economy jobs and wealth creation for Black and Brown communities.
- Dream Corps TECH will expand into new cities to recruit up to 120 participants for our Job Training Cohort program, breaking down barriers to help Black and Latinx rising leaders develop the skills they need to play key roles in diversifying the tech sector.
Tanesha and more than 14,000 others are home for the holidays instead of behind bars thanks to their release under the First Step Act. Jacoby and his fellow alumni of our Minneapolis Job Training Cohort are now in full-time tech industry roles. Lateefah and the hundreds of transit workers and riders brought together by our #FuelChange campaign are now united in their advocacy for safe, green transit. These powerful stories are proof that Dream Corps and its programs deliver when we stand together.
I'm convinced we can decide the future, but your support ensures that we can have the resources needed to grow our work. That is why I'm asking for your help right now.
So if you believe that "we the people" can decide the future and create community instead of chaos, please make your tax-deductible, year-end gift to Dream Corps.
Thank you for standing with us, — Nisha Anand, CEO, Dream Corps
