Dear John,

Did you see this email from Secretary of State-elect Shemia Fagan?

OLCV PAC builds resources from grassroots supporters like you and invests them in electing environmental champions like Shemia. You can support this important work by using your Political Tax Credit to give to OLCV PAC and it won’t cost you a dime. Eligible Oregonians can give $50 (or $100 for couples filing jointly) and get it back when you file your taxes.

Your support now ensures that we have the resources we need to continue electing environmental champions in 2021 and beyond.

Can I count on you to chip in today?

Sincerely,

Doug Moore, Executive Director OLCV

Dear John,

This November, I was elected to serve as Oregon’s next Secretary of State. I’m a proud lifelong Oregonian, who grew up in Dufur and The Dalles. Before running for Secretary of State, I served in both the Oregon House and Senate. I ran for Secretary of State in part because I saw Oregon’s proud tradition of voting by mail under attack by the Trump administration. It’s never been more important to protect and expand our right to vote in Oregon, and to continue electing folks like me who will fight for our democratic values.

That’s why I’m writing to you today. The Oregon League of Conservation Voters works to elect candidates like me, who will show up and fight for our environment and our democracy. Use your Political Tax Credit to donate to OLCV PAC today and ensure that they have the resources they need to continue doing this critical work.

We’ve seen firsthand what can happen when Trumpism trickles down to the states and emboldens extremists, like when Republican lawmakers fled their jobs and the state in order to kill climate action. We need groups like OLCV, who work to elect pro-environment, pro-democracy candidates and then hold them accountable to do the work that voters elected them to do.

As Secretary of State, I will work to eliminate barriers and increase access to the ballot, work that I began during my time in the legislature. And as a member of the State Land Board, I will protect our treasured public lands like the Elliott State Forest.

I am so proud to serve as Oregon’s next Secretary of State, and I wouldn’t be here without the support of OLCV. They’ve been a great partner to me since way back in 2012, when I spoke at OLCV’s Annual Celebration just as I was starting my political career, and they played a key role in helping me get elected again this November.

Now I’m hoping that you will do your part by making a donation to OLCV PAC today.

Sincerely,

Shemia Fagan, Secretary of State-elect
