I know what happened at the last debate was unexpected.

The press’s unfavorable coverage of me makes it very clear how they feel -- but it’s important to me I take this opportunity to hear your feedback instead.
 
 
I had a critical choice to make at the last debates:
 
-- I could either play it safe and give Vice President Biden a free pass like everyone else.
 
-- Or I could speak up and demand answers for you and your family.
 
The press’s unfavorable coverage of me has made it very clear how they feel.
 
 
Look, I’m not in this race to play it safe.
 
This fight -- our fight -- is too important to me to stay quiet when what I hear doesn’t add up.
 
Because I want to be the kind of candidate who fights to win YOU over.
 
NOT the kind of candidate whose only concern is what the press thinks of me.
