This past year, Governor John Bel Edwards has been fighting harder than ever before for our state. Although politicians like Jeff Landry and Blake Miguez have opposed him every step of the way, he hasn't backed down. We're going to ask you to help us defend John Bel's achievements from the past year, but first let us tell you a little bit about them.
To close out the year, we're counting down Governor Edwards' top five accomplishments in 2020. First on the list is the creation of the Climate Initiatives Task Force, the first government entity of its kind in Louisiana specifically charged with fighting climate change. This task force partners government with stakeholders from the private sector and civil society. It is developing a comprehensive strategy to make Louisiana carbon neutral by the year 2050.
Thanks to the Governor's decision to establish this task force, Louisiana will have a blueprint to move forward toward a more sustainable future. If you believe Louisiana deserves a sustainable future, pitch in to help us defend the Governor's decision.
The climate change task force is just one example of the Governor's forward thinking leadership.
Unfortunately not everyone has the same vision for our state's future and there are those who are working to undermine the Governor's work.
We need your help to keep up the fight for responsible leadership in Louisiana. A Stronger Louisiana has Governor Edwards' back and we hope you do too. Chip in $15 today so we can carry on the fight into 2021.
