In just 34 days, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States.
Here is what we know: Climate was a top issue in the election. By many measures, it’s what delivered Biden’s victory.1 Now it’s time for Biden to keep his promises to the climate movement.
So we identified 25 Executive Actions that Biden can take during his first 100 days in office to prevent climate chaos, address environmental racism, and invest in a clean energy economy that will create good-paying jobs for millions of people.
People voted in record numbers, facing a pandemic and voter suppression, to elect Joe Biden. They voted for a once-in-a-generation chance at healthy communities, millions of good-paying jobs, and a better life for people on the frontlines of fossil fuel pollution and the climate crisis.
Now it’s time for Joe Biden to deliver, and lucky for him, we’ve created a climate action blueprint. Together with dozens of partners, representing millions of Americans, we’ve laid out a clear road map with actions he can take on day one, with or without Congress, to build back better AND fossil free.
We know that the crises of unemployment, COVID recovery, and climate change are linked. Biden has the power to avert further climate devastation while ensuring our people and our country recover from the pandemic in a stronger place than when it began.
