At the 2017 Miss Universe Pageant, Sarah Idan (Miss Iraq) took an innocent selfie with Miss Israel. Shortly thereafter, her family was forced to flee their country. AJC was honored to host Sarah at our Global Forum in Jerusalem in 2018 where she spoke movingly, alongside Miss Israel, about her hopes for Middle East Peace. Less than three years later, join us as Sarah returns to the virtual AJC stage for the Dr. Aaron (z”l) and Ruth M. Bernstein Distinguished Lecture Series, for a wide-ranging conversation on the changing Middle East, her passion and commitment to building bridges among Muslims and Jews, and much more.

In 2019, AJC Seattle honored Dr. Aaron (z"l) and Ruth M. Bernstein, long-time advocates and benefactors of AJC first in New Jersey and then Seattle, at their Advocacy in Action Dinner. That evening included the launch of AJC Seattle's Dr. Aaron (z"l) and Ruth M. Bernstein Distinguished Lecture Series.
