Dear Friend of CURE Epilepsy,
Vera doesn’t know she has epilepsy, but it has been a part of our lives since her first seizure at three months old.

Over the past two years, we have been on an epilepsy roller coaster where Vera’s development takes two steps forward and one step back. Literally. Last March she stood independently for the first time, but days later a seizure took that milestone away. Like most toddlers, her strength and sense of humor put us to the test every day. But unlike most toddlers, Vera is on borrowed time.

Today, at two years old, Vera is walking, talking, singing, and dancing. With intense therapy she has caught up to her peers developmentally, but at any moment a seizure could take that progress away. We have research to thank for the progress she has made, but we must push research forward now if we are going to find a cure.

As Vera’s mom I am supposed to protect her, but I can’t. I can’t see what is causing her seizures, and I can’t just grab a Band-Aid, give her a big hug, and make them all better. This is why I ask you, I implore you, to make a tax-deductible contribution ([link removed]) to CURE Epilepsy today. Research is the only thing that can lead to the answers we so desperately seek for my little girl and for the 65 million babies, children and adults living with epilepsy worldwide.

Please donate to CURE Epilepsy now ([link removed]) . Vera is counting on me, and I am counting on you.

With overwhelming gratitude,

Cindy Angulo,
Vera’s mom

P.S.: If you already made a year-end donation, please accept our sincerest gratitude. You are making a difference in our unrelenting search for a cure.
