Now on TeachableMoment
This video and set of guidelines will give you and your students a chance to practice active listening and discuss the importance of taking equal turns and keeping what others say confidential.

Games that can help you and your students get to know each other better, cooperate, build empathy and connection - and have fun together!

Students read about and discuss three key policy debates as a new administration prepares to take office.
What We're Reading
In a new NEA/PTA Covid-era survey, students said that while they face academic challenges, they "believe their teachers are doing the best they can under extremely difficult circumstances." The survey recommends more SEL for kids, because "no matter the education model, all students have suffered due to the pandemic and economic crisis."

A new Equity in Civic Education White Paper advises teachers to consider the holistic needs of students; provide opportunities to discuss current controversial issues; be culturally responsive; and teach digital media literacy as a civic skill. By iCivics and Generation Citizen.
"In this moment, we can choose to connect and co-create the future that is calling us forward."
