2020 to 2021: From turbulence to transformation?

2020 was anticipated as the dawn of a ‘decade of delivery’ in which the much-hyped ambition of the sustainability sector would translate into meaningful action at scale and pace.

There’s a stark and daunting contrast in what we had hoped for this year and how things actually turned out. As the curtain falls on one of the most turbulent years of our lives, Forum’s Chief Executive, Dr Sally Uren, reflects on three key lessons learnt and what will be required from each of us next year to help create a just and regenerative future.

There’s no doubt further uncertainty lies ahead. As the social, climate and biodiversity crises intensify and as 2021 begins to unfold, we’re inviting all of you to share your insights on how the world is changing – and what it might mean – through Forum’s Futures Centre. Why not get involved and help shape how we could collectively respond to key global challenges?
