Hi John, 2020 was a lesson on flexibility. Across the nation, families, businesses, schools, and nonprofits were forced to reimagine what was possible during a global pandemic. For Stop Handgun Violence, that meant we moved events to a virtual format, changed our advocacy tactics and increased online engagement. With your help, we helped get out the vote on gun violence prevention across the Country. We updated our billboard in the Back Bay neighborhood and urged individuals to vote for the victims of gun violence who could not vote this election season.
With your support, we took that message nationwide with similar get out the vote on gun violence prevention billboards in Nevada, Georgia, Florida, and New York. Together, we sent thousands of postcards and made calls to gun violence prevention voters in swing states urging them to vote for gun safety this election.
With your donations, we were able to create a website to inform the public about the life-saving Massachusetts Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) law. We worked with our partners to create content geared for both family members and for specific professions so that they are empowered to take action if an individual is in crisis. There's more to be done. These are just a few examples of our work at Stop Handgun Violence. We won't quit but we need your financial support. We know you care about gun violence prevention and awareness to help keep us going! Please donate today. - THANK YOU from the Team at Stop Handgun Violence
