 We Can't Give Up

From WFA president Julaine Appling, "At a time of the year when people are generally happier and smiling more often than normal, many are not experiencing that this Christmas season. We’ve struggled for ten months with the virus and related restrictions and guidelines, including how we do church. We can’t see people’s smiling faces very often because they are hidden behind masks or in-person gatherings are cancelled.

"The Black Lives Matter movement sparked riots that destroyed private and public property and hurt and even killed people in our major cities. I suspect many are like me and often feel as if we are sitting on a keg of dynamite that could explode just about anywhere with little provocation.

"Then Election 2020 and the alleged massive fraud became the next crisis. The president and his allies have filed dozens of lawsuits here and in other states where the margin of victory in the election was narrow. In most of those lawsuits, the president and his allies have been shot down, typically not on the actual merits of the case or the evidence presented, but rather on procedural matters such as standing, jurisdiction, or timing."

Parents Should Explore School Choice Options Now

From The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty:
"The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) published a new study that reveals that school districts that started the 2020-21 school year with virtual learning saw significant enrollment declines. Thirty-four Wisconsin school districts started the school year with virtual learning and experienced, on average, a 3% decline in enrollment. Enrollment statewide declined by 2.67%, on average, driven in large part by a drop in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten enrollment. The study also finds that school districts with established virtual charter schools saw a 4.5% increase in enrollment."

THE TAKEAWAY
→Enrollment declined statewide more than usual.
→School districts that chose virtual learning to start the 2020 school year saw the largest enrollment declines.
→Private school choice programs continue to grow.

Julaine Appling, WFA president, says, "The virus crisis has forced many parents to consider different options for their children's education. We have numerous educational choices in Wisconsin and we urge parents to explore those options sooner rather than later since enrollment in most of them opens in early February. Fortunately, private schools in our state have generally been able to make their own decisions about operating in person."

When Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Working on the assumption that when election challenges are over, they will be the next administration, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been busy getting their top-level appointments ready and both are showing their liberal commitment. Biden has nominated Xavier Becerra for Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. Becerra, currently California’s attorney general, is one of the most ardent abortion supporters in public office.  As a senator, Kamala Harris chose Karine Jean-Pierre, an outspoken LGBTQ activist, as her chief of staff, giving some insight as to the type of appointments she would make as vice-president.

"These nominations and appointments are stark reminders of the consequences of elections," says Julaine Appling, "Earlier this week, Biden talked about wanting to unify the country but apparently those are just words, because his actions are showing they are more than willing to push this country further to the left and promote causes and agendas with which many Americans strongly disagree."

Before You Go "Putting It On a Ritz"

The organization OneMillionMoms.com informs us:
"RITZ Crackers is attempting to normalize the transgender lifestyle by airing a commercial that has absolutely nothing to do with selling crackers. The company's most recent ad features a man putting on lipstick like a woman and effeminately clinging to another man, to brainwash children and adults alike by desensitizing audiences.

"The ad campaign titled 'Where's there's love, there's family' has been airing on HGTV and is featured on RITZ's YouTube page. The company's goal is to redefine family as something other than God's biblical design for gender and sexuality. In its own words, RITZ says, 'We're encouraging people to rethink what it means to be family.'
