The time has come to advance Ranked Choice Voting for statewide use.

2020 was a year of significant victories for RCV across our state: both Bloomington and Minnetonka passed RCV for local use and we were successful in electing an amazing slate of pro-RCV leaders to the Minnesota Legislature. Now is the time to capitalize on the momentum of our victories and the need couldn’t be more urgent -- we must put an end to spoiler dynamics, winners without majority support, and polarization. Ensuring a more inclusive, representative and responsive democracy is the first step to addressing every other issue facing Minnesotans.

Rep. Steve Elkins and Sen. Kent Eken are poised to introduce a statewide RCV bill as soon as session starts on January 5.

Help ensure it has wide support upon introduction and passes through committees and ultimately on the floor by taking two important steps right now:

1. Sign the Petition: End The Spoiler Effect
2. Contact your Legislators: Call on them to advance Ranked Choice Voting for Minnesota
