Global citizens, world leaders and youth activists are coming together in New York for tomorrow's Climate Action Summit, Tuesday and Wednesday's SDG Summit, and all the other events happening this week under the umbrella of the UN General Assembly. IISD is there and paying close attention.

Our policy experts are on the ground in New York, talking about fossil fuel subsidy reform, leading sessions on climate resilience and peace-building, and launching plans to help small islands manage climate risks.

We also have a team of reporters and photographers who will be sharing in-depth coverage of the summit proceedings as they unfold. And our extensive panel of experts will be speaking with the media, sharing their knowledge and insights on a range of issues, from fossil fuels to fresh water.

Plus, the IISD family will be out in the streets on Friday joining in climate strikes around the world. Jane McDonald, our interim President, will be speaking at the gathering in Winnipeg, home of our head office.

What can you do? Stay connected. Follow our coverage on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Share what you're seeing and learning. Keep the momentum up.

"THE TIME TO START IS NOW"

"Climate change is a complex and truly global challenge. The economic, social, political and moral implications don’t stop at any border. Our response must be coordinated at all levels." Read our President and CEO's statement.

JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN TO END FOSSIL FUEL SUBSIDIES

IISD's Global Subsidies Initiative is in the final push of this vital campaign - environmentalists such as Bill McKibben and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have given their support to it; you can too.
