Trump's EPA repeals the Waters of the U.S. rule.

John,

We’ve gotten an incredible response to this email below, but this will be a huge fight and we need all the help we can get.

Will you make a donation to help us fight back against President Trump's attack on our clean water?

John,

The Trump administration just announced the biggest rollback of the Clean Water Act in decades, repealing the Waters of the U.S. rule, threatening the drinking water of 117 million Americans.1,2

This is a true emergency for our rivers, lakes, streams and millions of acres of wetlands. We're going to hold President Trump accountable for this attack on our water.

Will you donate to help hold Donald Trump accountable for his repeal from corporate polluters?

President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency wrote the Waters of the U.S. rule to protect our precious waterways. But, Trump’s proposed actions will leave nearly 20 percent of our rivers and streams and over 50 percent of our wetlands unprotected from toxic runoff and contamination. Many of these streams and wetlands run into the waterways that provide drinking water for one in three Americans.3

Now, with the stroke of a pen, those protections are gone.

We need a strong Waters of the U.S. rule that does not allow corporate agribusiness to dump fertilizer, spilled fuel, livestock manure and pesticides into streams and tributaries that eventually reach our drinking water. This pollution also causes algae blooms and dead zones in rivers, lakes and oceans.4,5

Trump will also allow the destruction of wetlands that protect our vital drinking water resources and smooth the way for more pipelines through previously protected areas.

It’s a gift to corporate agribusiness, fossil fuel industries and Trump's real estate developer friends.

Food & Water Action is not going to stand for Trump handing our drinking water to corporate polluters. We have the right to clean and safe water, and we will hold Donald Trump accountable for this assault on our rivers, lakes and wetlands.

Will you make a donation to help us fight back against President Trump's attack on our clean water?
