Mass. wakes up to a blanket of snow, with nearly a foot in some areas
The first major snowstorm of the season hammered New England overnight, with residents throughout Massachusetts waking Thursday to a heavy blanket of snow, high winds, and an impending temperature drop that is expected to create a flash freeze, officials said.
