The Lord has blessed your partnership with FRC this year to accomplish many important things. One of the most significant victories was the confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court.
During her confirmation hearing, media and leftist politicians tried to paint Judge Barrett as a religious zealot and worse. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) called her confirmation "one of the darkest days" in the Senate's history.
FRC countered the Left's smear attacks with the truth through our various media forums. We highlighted the real Amy Coney Barrett:
- A mother of seven children,
- A woman who embraces her faith without apology, and
- A judge committed to the rule of law and the Constitution.
FRC partners responded to our call-to-action, making over 47,700 contacts with their senators encouraging them to vote yes on Barrett's confirmation.
And on Monday, October 26, with 52 votes, the accomplished judge was confirmed as the Supreme Court's newest Justice.
At her swearing-in ceremony at the White House, Justice Barrett stated, "I love the Constitution and the democratic republic that it establishes, and I will devote myself to preserving it."
We are grateful to God for this surprising victory and thankful that President Trump kept his promise to fill the open seat with a proven originalist. I know that the voice of FRC and thousands of believers like you, John, made the difference in this achievement.
