Saturday: General Meeting

In this month's general meeting, we'll hear updates from our ongoing People's Bailout campaign (more below) and engagement in the three statewide runoffs. We'll also debate and vote on two resolutions before the chapter: Resolution 20-21: Rebranding as Atlanta DSA and Resolution 20-22: Donate to Mainline Zine. Please read the resolutions and come ready to discuss with your comrades!

Members in good standing will vote through an online form shared during the meeting. You are a member in good standing if you have paid national dues within the last year. If you can't remember if you've paid dues lately, pay or renew your national dues today (and pay monthly dues so you don't forget again!) You must renew your dues 30 minutes before the meeting in order to vote.

If you can't attend, you can also designate another member as your proxy to cast your vote during the meeting. The deadline for designating a proxy is 11:59 PM on Friday.

Our Demand: A People's Bailout!

The GOP is drowning Georgia, and we need a people’s bailout.

Georgia’s working class is struggling to survive during the overlapping COVID, climate, and economic crises. And David Perdue, Kelly Loeffler, and Bubba McDonald are complicit, lining their pockets while denying us relief.

This is the fight for our lives. On Saturday 12/19 at 2 PM, Metro Atlanta DSA will rally to demand an end to the GOP’s chokehold on working Georgians. We stand for a $15 minimum wage, $2000/month pandemic survival checks, a Green Jobs Guarantee, and emergency Medicare for All.

Join us to stop the GOP and build the future Georgia’s working class deserves. And if you can't come Saturday, join us Sunday at 2 PM on Zoom for a kickoff rally and phonebank with DSA members from across the country!
