My view of Vice President Pence at the LIFE IS WINNING meeting at the White House
Dear John,
Today, I had the privilege of spending time at the White House with Vice President Pence and pro-life leaders across the country in my capacity as CEO of Minnesota Family Council. We were there to celebrate the work we've accomplished to advance the cause of life in the womb - life at every stage - over the last four years. You can watch a recording of the event here. As Vice President Pence affirmed, "we will never stop fighting for life!"
Surrounded by pro-life leaders and Trump administration officials who have done so much to protect life, my first feeling was one of thankfulness. We've seen four years of historic pro-life leadership from the White House. Although that will come to end with the expected inauguration of pro-abortion Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in January, as I spoke with Susan B. Anthony List head Marjorie Dannenfelser, we agreed that after the extraordinary accomplishments of the last four years, the stage is wonderfully set for the next stage of the fight for life, which will likely shift to the courts.
My next feeling was one of hope.
Actually, I thought, the opposition we'll face may even strengthen our resolve, and we may find ingenious new ways to oppose the pro-abortion radicalism of the Biden administration. Lives are on the line. We will be motivated to work even HARDER to protect life in the face of this determined opposition!
Do you share this hope? Do you have confidence in Christ that, although we will not have the benefit of pro-life leadership in the White House, we will be able to FIGHT FOR LIFE just as hard, and just as successfully, as we ever have, in part because of the accomplishments of the last four years?
