Indivisibles,

By now, you might be familiar with our IndivisiStories series -- emails
we’re sending this month that spotlight our favorite stories to tell about
the tenacity and power of the Indivisible movement. Before we dive into
our next story, [ [link removed] ]be sure to check out the entire series on our Medium
account.

This week, we’re highlighting Indivisible’s direct voter contact program
and the fundamental role it played in the victories we saw this year:

Direct Voter Contact

The voter contact records we broke this year are a testament to the power
of Indivisibles when they have access to organizing tools and training.
Indivisible’s voter contact program is thriving because it’s powered by
volunteers, leaders, and supporters like you. Their impact can’t be
understated -- using tools provided by Indivisible Action, over 29,000
volunteers sent 27.7 million text messages and made nearly seven million
calls. On top of all that, our movement also sent more than 1.8 million
letters and postcards to voters, thanks to more than 20,000 writers.

[ [link removed] ]Indivisible Chicago’s postcard writing program started a national
movement that brought people from all over the country into the fold. They
shattered their initial goal of delivering 515,000 postcards to voters --
ultimately delivering 30% more -- by sending 685,000 postcards ahead of
the 2020 election. But that’s not all; through their collaboration with
Postcards to Swing States, [ [link removed] ]Chicago Indivisibles inspired countless new
volunteers to send a total of 15.7 million postcards to voters nationwide.
Now, for the Georgia runoff elections, [ [link removed] ]they plan to write another
200,000 postcards in just one month. As you can see, Chicago Indivisibles
never miss a beat.

Calling voters can be a little nerve-wracking, but Indivisibles are known
for taking on a challenge and having fun in the process. One of the best
examples of their creative organizing is the famed [ [link removed] ]Romancelandia
phonebanking sessions. What was meant to be a short partnership with the
[ [link removed] ]Fated Mates Podcast hosts Sarah and Jen turned into [ [link removed] ]a series of
phonebanks that get national attention. These phonebanks tapped into the
vibrant online community of romance novel fans and featured high profile
romance novelists to make calls into critical states we needed to win in
2020. Ahead of the election, roughly 300 volunteers from all over the
country had joined Romancelandia to make at least 300,000 calls to voters
in Kentucky, Texas, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Indivisible thrives because of your support, and our direct voter contact
program is one of the clearest examples of the strength of this movement.
With access to the right tools, there’s no telling what Indivisibles can
achieve.
