When Governor Evers announced that he would not be putting up the traditional Capitol Christmas Tree this year, Republicans decided to put up their own tree in the Capitol Rotunda so a near 100 year tradition would not be broken. The Tony Evers Administration took the tree down, so Republicans put up another. The second tree didn’t even last a day, Tony’s cronies took that one down too.

Last Christmas, Evers insisted on changing the name of the Capitol Christmas Tree to the Capitol “Holiday Tree.” This Christmas, Evers is going through the trouble of removing a Christmas Tree from the Capitol more than once just to play petty games with Republicans.

Enough is enough!

The Evers Administration seems to care more about tearing down Christmas Trees than the thousands of Wisconsinites STILL awaiting unemployment benefits, investigating election irregularities, and other important issues plaguing our state. The Republican Party of Wisconsin needs to do everything we can to put a stop to the Evers Administration’s madness and restore common sense to the Governor’s Mansion.
