Building No Kill Communities!
DONATE ([link removed]) ADOPT ([link removed]) VOLUNTEER ([link removed]) FOSTER ([link removed])
[link removed]
Dear John,

It is the time of year to recognize the generosity and kindness found throughout our community and to acknowledge that without it, PAWS' life-saving programs simply could not exist. We are grateful for that kindness, and for you.

And so are animals like Heathcliff, who arrived so matted down it was hard to see the lovely little dog underneath all the dirt. But at PAWS, he got a glow up and a new home, and that's all because of your support.

If you're still looking for the perfect holiday gifts, we invite you to look below for opportunities to support the No Kill mission. The Holiday Shopping Guide ([link removed]) presents opportunities to purchase from local vendors who will return a part of their sales to PAWS' life-saving programs. If you're looking for a gift that shows off your PAWS pride, have a look at the PAWS store ([link removed]) , where you can purchase PAWS' gear or make a donation in someone's name. ([link removed])

We're alsolooking for volunteers ([link removed]) who wish to give their time to animals in need. And, if you can, please give a year-end gift to support the life-saving programs homeless animals depend on. With our Holiday match, generous donors Michael Sweig and Wayne and Nan Kocourek will match up to $75,000 from now until the end of the year. Please, help us reach that match ([link removed]) because when you give, they live.

Wishing you a joyous holiday season from PAWS!

** Looking for a Sign of Hope? Meet Churchill
------------------------------------------------------------

There’s just something about Churchill. When PAWS Intake Team saw this senior pup, all skin and bones, at Chicago Animal Care and Control, the first thing they noticed wasn’t his appearance – it was his personality. In all these years of rescuing, he’s one of the sweetest, gentlest dogs ever to grace PAWS Chicago despite struggling to survive as a stray. Since coming to PAWS, Churchill’s found a loving foster home where he’s been working hard to gain back almost 10 healthy pounds. The perseverance of Churchill is incredible, and we’re honored he gets to heal with us.

** Morning Volunteers Wanted
------------------------------------------------------------

Calling all early risers! The 8am – 11am shift is the busiest of the day as we hustle and bustle to get all the dogs walked and all the animals (cats & dogs!) fed breakfast. During this busy shift, volunteers help with dog walking, feeding, cleaning, dishes, laundry and more! Having more hands on deck helps make sure the animals get everything they need to start the day off right!

Want to help out in the mornings? Complete our volunteer application today! You’ll be able to sign up for your orientation shift and then start volunteering with the dogs and cats at either our Medical Center or Lincoln Park Adoption Center.

** A Strong Future for Muscles
------------------------------------------------------------

Since 2014, nine-year-old Muscles has been part of a cat colony. He’s lived outside with his feral friends while a cat colony caretaker has made sure they had shelter, food, and all the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) care they could need. When his caretaker saw Muscles struggling to eat, we brought this friendly boy to PAWS for medical care. Turns out, it was the start his new journey as an indoor cat!
