Dear ,
As this pandemic began, our partners’ took the reins to help families in low income, communities of color, directly impacted by COVID-19. One such partner leading the relief efforts is New England United for Justice (NEU4J).
Through their wellness outreach, NEU4J reached out to over 35,000 families, focused in Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan and Hyde Park, and quickly put systems in place for a wellness to organizing program to support and empower neighborhoods they service, across Boston. It is their on-ground efforts and continued hard work that helped families find some respite in this difficult year.
Today, we urge you to contribute to their efforts. NEU4J is a grassroots organization that believes in the power of direct organizing and leadership building as a tool for residents who want to participate in improving their local neighborhoods, city and state. This year alone, they combined their efforts to help our community during this crisis, and
- Delivered over 1,500 hot meals to seniors with help from Iries Carribean Restaurant, while also providing financial support to their local business.
- Provided tablets to seniors so they can stay connected to each other, their families and in their leadership of NEU4J's work
- Distributed over 1000 masks and PPE supplies support to families
- And did so much more…
