John,
As the year comes to a close, this is a time for us to reflect on the challenges we've faced as a community, fighting for racial equality, gender justice, climate justice, and criminal justice reform. COVID-19 has made it difficult to organize, nevertheless, we made it. We did it, NewFM family. We survived 2020, but our work is far from over.

While 2020 winds down, we recognize that the pandemic will make it hard to spend time with your friends and family. For those who do, please be safe and practice social distancing.

2021 marks a brand new chapter for our movement, and we are incredibly excited to continue to fight by your side. As we look forward to the new year we will be forming a larger organization to better serve communities in Florida. This will be our final newsletter as New Florida Majority — please be on the lookout for a huge email announcement later this week from our Executive Director Andrea Mercado.

Have a happy and safe holiday season!

Local lawmakers are calling for the resignation of Florida State Representative Anthony Sabatini for spewing racist inflammatory rhetoric. Additionally, Sabatini tweeted, “KYLE RITTENHOUSE FOR CONGRESS," after Rittenhouse shot three protestors during a Black Lives Matter protest.

We're demanding Rep. Anthony Sabatini immediately resign from the Florida House of Representatives.

A picture of Representative Sabatini in black face has surfaced at the helm of this controversy. It is time for Sabatini to resign. Floridians can not depend on Anthony Sabaitni to introduce bills, resolutions, and offer amendments that serve our communities. It's time for Representative Anthony Sabatini to get his walking papers.

Sign the petition to hold Rep. Sabatini accountable for his actions. [[link removed]]

Help Florida Families in need [[link removed]]

The COVID-19 numbers in Florida are steadily increasing and many Florida families are struggling to stay afloat during this global pandemic.

Governor Ron DeSantis has not done all that he could to help Florida residents during this pandemic. This is why we have to take action and do all that we can to help our friends and neighbors cover their basic needs during this time.

Let’s stand together to ensure that Florida families are not left to fend for themselves during these uncertain times.
