Now, Rep. Matt Cartwright is one of Democrats’ last lines of defense in keeping their House Majority. Matt won by only a few thousand votes in one of the closest elections in the country, so you better believe that he will be one of the GOP’s top targets in 2022.

And keeping the House Majority is so important, John.

The party that is locked in the House Minority has almost no power to impact change. And can you imagine Republicans being in charge of committees and investigations in the House? Every single day, Congressional Republicans like Devin Nunes, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, Louie Gohmert, and others, would be tripping over themselves to launch bogus investigations to harm the Biden Administration and throw a wrench in everything we are trying to achieve.

Imagine if Matt Cartwright had lost in November, and Republicans had the House right now? COVID-19 relief discussions would be all about protecting big business, not delivering help to working Americans. Far-right Republicans would be threatening to NOT certify Joe Biden’s election win (the House must vote to verify the electoral college vote). It would be a total disaster.
