Dear John,

President-Elect Joe Biden has promised to work to unify Americans. My latest op-ed in NBC argues that he can do so by cancelling student debt and reforming higher education. [[link removed]]

But is canceling student debt unfair to those who already paid off their own student loans? Well—debt cancellation helps everyone. It'll boost GDP by $108B a year and add 1.5 million jobs per year.

Moreover, surviving a past injustice does not mean we should prevent future justice. It means we should accelerate it.
