Exciting news, Team! I am honored to have been selected to serve as Co-Chairman of the Congressional Steel Caucus!

The Congressional Steel Caucus, which includes more than 100 bipartisan Members of Congress, works to promote and advance the interests of the American steel industry and steelworkers in the U.S. Congress. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the leaders of the Congressional Steel Caucus, and together we will ensure that the American steel industry can compete fairly across the globe by continuing to make the best steel in the world.

So why is this such an important announcement? To put it simply, American steel is essential to the economic strength of Northwest Indiana and our nation. From serving as the backbone of domestic manufacturing to the critical components that steelworkers provide to support our national security, making high quality steel is one of the best ways for America to grow and prosper.  

As we move forward, I am looking forward to working in a bipartisan fashion with all of the leaders and members of the Congressional Steel Caucus to advance these policy priorities, which will include strengthening Buy America requirements, advancing robust infrastructure funding legislation, and ensuring that all of our U.S. trade laws are fully enforced.  

I am grateful for the support and confidence that the Caucus has placed in me and am ready to get to work in the 117th Congress!
