Thanks to you and all of our incredible supporters, we’re close to hitting our state legislative goal!
In case you missed our message, here’s a recap: We’re building our funds to support and recruit progressive women running for state legislatures in the next cycle. Currently, a majority of state legislatures across the country are controlled by Republicans who’ve consistently made decisions to restrict reproductive rights, access to affordable health care, and gun control reform.
We know that if we want to truly move our country forward, even after Joe Biden is in the White House, then we need to change the leadership that governs our lives at the local level. That’s where the true impact lies.
You have gotten us this far, John. And we are so grateful for your continued support because we truly believe that together we can break down the systems that hold women back and build a government that is reflective of the diversity of our country.
Right now, we’re $14,071 short of where we need to be to support women’s campaigns from the start of 2021. These months will be crucial for recruiting women to run for office and increasing women’s visibility as viable candidates. We don’t want women’s voices to continue to be silenced in our state legislatures, and we know you don’t either.
