Hey, this is a long email. It's about why I'm running for President, and why I'm counting on your support. I hope you'll take a moment to read it, then if you can, chip in $1 or whatever you can.

Growing up, I never thought I'd run for President.

I was raised in a single-parent household. We struggled just to get by.

The only reason I knew there was a Governor's house in my hometown was because I delivered newspapers to it.

Now as Governor, my wife and I are raising our three kids in that very same house.

I got my shot at the American Dream. But for a whole lot of Americans, that opportunity no longer exists -- and for far too many, it never has.

I'm running for President to change that. I want to give every child in America that fair shot to do better than their parents. But I can't do it alone, which is why I have to ask:

Will you chip in $1 to my campaign for President today? Our next public deadline is just 9 days away. This is our most important deadline yet, so we can't afford to come up short:

For years, the rich and powerful have done better and better while the rest of us have paid the price. Washington has been so thoroughly corrupted by Big Money that it has been unable to tackle our biggest challenges.

Giving power back to the people starts by eliminating the toxic influence of Big Money in our politics.

That's what this campaign is all about. It's been the fight of my career. And as President, I'll continue that fight from Day 1.

But I need your help to make it happen. If you believe we need a President who will fight Big Money -- not be beholden to it -- donate $1 or whatever you can to help our campaign hit our public deadline next week:
