POLITICO: Google lifted its political ad ban on December 10, "ending its five-week-long prohibition aimed at curbing disinformation in the aftermath of the 2020 election."

We at Progressive Majority would like to ask: WHAT is Google thinking? If Google was worried about political misinformation being spread by ads after the 2020 election, then why would they allow that misinformation to spring back right before the Senate run-offs? Do they no longer care about the spread of misinformation? Do they not know that these races will determine who controls the Senate and the future of our country?

Just because it's not the presidential election doesn't mean the stakes aren't sky high. Whoever has control of the Senate will determine if Biden and Harris are actually going to be able to pass progressive legislation in the new year or if they'll be blocked by Mitch McConnell and his Republian allies.

Progressive Majority is determined to fight against the misinformation Republicans are spreading, including slanderous ads smearing Warnock and Ossoff and ones that target and intimidate voters from showing up to the polls -- even if Google isn't. We're working around the clock to protect the integrity of our democratic process and ensure that truth remains at the heart of American politics. But unfortunately, we've fallen short of our grassroots fundraising goals, and we're not in a position to make the substantial change we need.

You know what's at stake on January 5. You know that we need a Democratic majority in the Senate if we want our next administration to be able to do its job.
