John,

When Abigail first ran for Congress, healthcare was central to her campaign. This election was no different.

Lack of affordable healthcare sadly remains an issue for so many people living in Central Virginia and across the country. The pandemic has exacerbated the urgent need for affordable healthcare.

A recent study by the American Medical Association showed that despite the significant gains in insurance coverage because of the Affordable Care Act, many folks still face catastrophic healthcare bills. In fact, in 2017 alone, roughly 11 million Americans experienced “catastrophic medical expenses”. And one of the primary drivers of high healthcare costs is prescription drug costs.

In Congress, Abigail has fought consistently to rein in healthcare costs. She passed a bill to increase prescription drug pricing transparency, and her fight continues.

I’m proud of the work that Abigail has done in Congress, and I hope that you are, too. Because of the support of so many grassroots donors like you, she’s able to continue her important work.
