Everything that Alexandria has accomplished, from winning an upset victory
in 2018 to introducing the Green New Deal, has been made possible by the
generosity, hard work, and solidarity from people like you.

As we move into Alexandria’s second term — we will continue to fight for
working people and their families. And, we hope we can continue to rely on
your support to do so — [ [link removed] ]A $3 contribution from you
today will help set us up to build bigger and better in the new year. Can
we count on your contribution today?

In her first term, the Congresswoman had more amendments made-in-order
than 90% of freshmen lawmakers in the House. She also made movement on
several legislative priorities, including:

* passing legislation to move $5 million to treatment for opioid
addiction with funds shifted from the Drug Enforcement Administration;

* securing $10 million in funds to clean up toxic bombardment sites in
Vieques, Puerto Rico that were getting people sick;

* repealing the Faircloth Amendment in the House, paving the way for
more public housing to be built for the first time in decades;

* calling for a bailout for taxi cab drivers in New York City who were
targeted in predatory lending schemes;

* and, she co-authored the Green New Deal with Senator Ed Markey, with
regional versions of the GND adopted by ten local governments
including the state of New Mexico and the cities of Austin, Los
Angeles, New York, Boston, and more!

In addition to those legislative priorities, the Congresswoman also
introduced and helped pass several bills to protect working families,
like:

* the Green New Deal for Public Housing which would invest up to $180
billion over ten years into building public housing and create up to a
quarter million jobs per year nationwide;

* the Loan Shark Prevention Act which would cap credit card interest at
15%;

* the Just Society suite of bills which would make immigrants eligible
for social safety net programs, require federal contractors to pay
$15/hour, strengthen tenant protections, and ease reentry for formerly
incarcerated citizens;

* the COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Act to help families get up to $10,000
in funeral expenses who lost loved ones during the ongoing pandemic.

Going into the new year, Alexandria will continue fighting to pass these
and other legislative priorities to assist and protect working families
across the country.

[ [link removed] ]Stand with Alexandria and our movement today by making a contribution
to build our momentum and ensure these priorities continue to take shape
in the halls of power.

Thank you for everything you do for our movement,

Team AOC
