The hypocrisy of Georgia's two Republican Senators is ASTOUNDING. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue -- two of the richest Senators in Washington -- downplayed the coronavirus danger while privately trading stocks to profit from the pandemic. Now, they're standing with Mitch McConnell while he blocks help for everyday Americans.
Raphael Warnock took Loeffler to task over corruption at the Georgia Senate debate:
"Senator Loeffler, when you received the private briefing regarding the coronavirus pandemic, you dumped millions of dollars of stock in order to protect your own investments. And then weeks later, when there came an opportunity to give ordinary Georgians an extra $600 of relief, you said you saw no need and called it counterproductive. Why do you think it's counterproductive to help ordinary Georgians in the middle of a pandemic?"
The Georgia runoff elections for U.S. Senate offer us a choice: two more years of self-dealing hypocrisy from corrupt Republicans, or a Democratic majority committed to fighting for COVID relief, affordable health care, environmental protections, and more.
But with early voting already underway in Georgia, we cannot sit on the sidelines as Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff fight to flip the Senate.
The New York Times reports, "The Progressive Change Campaign Committee has already raised $386,000 for the two Democratic candidates." That is now up to $518,000. You can help us break $525,000!
