webinar: paycheck protection program loan forgiveness

*Necessary Steps Towards PPP Loan Forgiveness*

As the end of the calendar year approaches, many small business owners who accessed the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) may be wondering what records will be needed to apply for PPP loan forgiveness and the timelines involved. Similarly, recipients of Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) and/or EIDL advances may have questions around recordkeeping best practices.

To help address these concerns, Nirav "Nick" Rajpara (Economic Development Specialist with the SBA-Washington Metropolitan Area District Office) will serve as a webinar panelist this Friday, December 18, to discuss relevant reporting requirements, application deadlines and more.

Questions to be covered include:

What are some end-of-year reporting and tax compliance best practices for recipients of PPP loans and/or Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs), including EIDL advances?

What is the application process to have a PPP loan forgiven?

Which specific forms and documents does a small business owner need in order to apply for PPP loan forgiveness?

Are PPP loan forgiveness applications being accepted right now?

What is the deadline to submit?

Does the SBA have resources for startups and established small businesses that may have been denied a PPP loan or an EIDL/EIDL advance? What are the options for such companies?

Are there any new SBA loan or access to capital programs available to help small business owners?
