Yesterday, members of the Electoral College cast their ballots, confirming Joe Biden as President-elect and Kamala Harris as Vice President-elect. Now, even Mitch McConnell has recognized their victory.

But that hasn’t stopped the Texas Republican Party from a pathetic attempt to hand the election to Donald Trump.

Members of the Texas GOP signed onto a lawsuit urging other states to reject the results of their elections. Our own Senator, Ted Cruz, not only supported the lawsuit, but tried and failed to argue the case in the Supreme Court. The Texas GOP even threatened to secede from the United States if they don’t get their way.

Texas Republicans are showing just how out-of-touch and radical they have become under Donald Trump's leadership. That’s why we need to elect two Senators in Georgia who will take the keys to the Senate away from Mitch McConnell and Ted Cruz.
