John, I wanted to reach out to you regarding events that happened in Spokane County last week. Last Wednesday, a man entered the Spokane Democratic headquarters and threatened to bomb the building. Fortunately, everyone was safely evacuated -- but that didn't stop the perpetrator from setting fire to the building, causing the office to likely be a total loss. I am so thankful that no one was hurt. Fearing for your life should never be a consequence of participating in the political process. While we condemn this act of arson and terror, we must also work together to help the Spokane Democratic Party rebuild. Please join me in making a donation to help our friends in Spokane. John, like you I am worried about the hateful and threatening rhetoric that has turned into actual violence here in Washington and around the country. Election officials across American have faced death threats. An armed right-wing fanatic shot a protester in Olympia on Saturday -- and in our nation's capital, several people were stabbed, and two historic Black D.C. churches were attacked this weekend. Violence of any kind -- particularly when targeting people's beliefs -- has no home in our state or anywhere in this country. But President Trump continues to fan the flames of hatred and incite violence with false, baseless claims of voter fraud and a rigged election. Enough is enough. Trump and all of his allies should condemn this violence and put an end to inciteful, misleading attacks on our democracy. It is on all of us to speak out against violence and support the peaceful transfer of power that has been a hallmark of American democracy. We must speak out against these acts of hatred and division and lead with love and unity because that is how we restore and heal America's soul. Today, we can all do that by helping the Spokane Democratic Party recover and rebuild -- please make a donation if you can. Thank you, Suzan DelBene PO Box 477, Kirkland, WA 98083
