Dear LULAC Leadership,

This holiday season we have a major mission in Georgia. Senate runoff elections
in Georgia are catching national attention and already we are seeing voter
suppression. A lawsuit in Georgia claims that nearly 200,000 registered voters
were improperly purged. The Georgia A.C.L.U. said in a statement that those
removed from the rolls were likely to be “young voters, voters of lower income,
and citizens of racial groups that have been denied their sacred right to vote in
the past.” These techniques are nothing new for us as civil rights activists.

The past three weeks we have been strategizing a logistical plan to help our
community. But, we want to give you the power to organize with Georgia this
holiday season. LULAC is working with state-based organizations to GOTV and
ensure we have a record turnout. We are working together to set up phone banks
and text banks to reach every eligible and registered Latino in Georgia.

But we need YOU, the life of this organization.

We know our membership has what it takes to reach out to Georgia and make the
difference. Like in other elections, we need you to help us call Latino voters in
Georgia.

Phone banks are every Tuesday starting today, text banking is every Wednesday
through election day Jan 5, 2021. Would you take a moment to sign up for one?
Would you go to the next level and host a phone bank with your council? Let us
link arms with Latinos across the country to build a grassroots movement that is
all about harnessing our individual and collective power.

You might say, why should I care about Georgia? Unite in this grassroots movement
because LULAC is about you, and those you love the most. LULAC is about all the
Latinos that you know in your network who are creating change every day. I have
no doubt that we will continue to GOTV in Georgia and with your help, we will
amplify this movement across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington D.C.

You are receiving this email because you have already committed to civil rights,
take this step with me now and sign up to be part of #ArribaGeorgia GOTV.

Together We Rise,

Sindy
