Dear John,

Step into the world of the Kheprw Institute [4] in our newest story
snapshot, where a young artist with roots in this local Indianapolis,
Indiana Black community flips the notion of wealth on its head. This artful
film, full of arresting imagery, spoken word and music, shows how justice,
self-mastery and community power build community wealth. By expanding the
understanding of “wealth,” viewers feel the interconnectivity between
empowerment, economy, education and environment: four pillars of a Just
Transition. The meaning behind Kheprw’s cryptic logo, the scarab beetle,
is also revealed, as relationships run deep and transcend generations.

TO DELVE DEEPER, TUNE INTO EPISODE 9 [7] OF CJA’S PODCAST SERIES:
_Stories from Home: Living the Just Transition_ [6], as we speak with our
usual podcast host, Keenan Rhodes, who also happens to be the creator of
Kheprw’s video snapshot. Join our guest host, Micronesia Climate Change
Alliance’s Moñeka de Oro, in a conversation with Keenan on Kheprw
Institute’s philosophy and approach to art, future vision and community
empowerment.

Across landscapes and languages, Story Snapshots [8] express the often
overlooked but critical climate justice work of everyday people as they
paint future visions on the page, strengthen family roots, take back food
systems and decolonize through art and culture.

I hope you enjoy the journey.
