John, today, we’re inviting you to ensure the wildlife cut off by political borders have a chance to thrive. Today, you can give wildlife isolated by the border wall the opportunity to access their historic range.

In fact, your support has double the impact right now thanks to our partners at Biophilia Foundation! They’re generously matching your tax-deductible gift until the end of the year, which is rapidly approaching.

By donating, you’re joining an international, multicultural, nonpartisan movement to restore cross-border habitat connectivity linking wildlife to some of the most biodiverse regions in North America. You’re ensuring than jaguars, ocelots, Mexican wolves and Sonoran pronghorn can safely traverse the U.S.-Mexico borderlands to access life-sustaining habitat.

Some of the incredible wildlife photographed by our trail cameras along the U.S.-Mexico border also include javelina, deer and bobcats.

You’re also ensuring endangered populations of Mexican black bears can be restored throughout their historic range. The long-term survival for these threatened bears hinges on access to healthy populations north of the border.

Our road ecology work along Interstate 40 in the eastern U.S., dubbed the “bear death zone”, is helping identify road crossing solutions that will save the lives of countless black bears. The U.S.-Mexico border could become another bear death zone if we don’t act now to resolve habitat fragmentation for black bears in the Borderlands.

The best hope for these black bears, and for all wildlife at risk in the Borderlands, is you. You’re sustaining vital scientific fieldwork that will preserve large-scale habitat connectivity for generations to come. Data that we’re collecting drives the conversation in international newspapers, courtrooms and legislative halls.

Thank you for reconnecting wildlife habitat with us,

Katie Davis
