Season’s Greetings John:
Resilience is deeply rooted in the Latino community. Latinos are diverse in background with so many having deep roots in our country that predates them to our land before the Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty was signed. Some Latinos immigrated to the United States to escape poverty, war, and political persecution, searching for better lives and opportunities. They did not know the language or have job opportunities here waiting for them. Time and time again, Latinos have risen even when faced with inequities and discrimination. And today once again we are helping push America forward as entrepreneurs and frontline workers.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 has struck the community disproportionally, but our community has continued to show its strength and resilience by coming together and helping one another. As the holiday season is upon us, there’s no better time to share your generosity than by providing families the resources to stay informed. LULAC continues to share communication in Spanish and English on COVID-19 prevention.
You can make an even greater impact with a monthly donation knowing your contribution is continuously helping to fund community-based programs and advocacy efforts on behalf of 60 million Latinos in the US and Puerto Rico.
Make an Impact. Donate now.
Happy Holidays,
Sindy Benavides
