Monday Nature Mystery

We are pleased to announce the winner of last week's Monday Nature Mystery, Gregory Luce!

There was another tie! Using a highly scientific method, we determine the winner when a tie occurs. Congratulations to Gregory for correctly posting: Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus). Did you know that trees have a second life? They play a very important role in forest ecology. As long as a dead tree or snag does not pose a threat it's best to let it continue to keep on giving!
