John,
2020 has been hard for so many of our neighbors.
And although there is incredibly encouraging news on the vaccine front, and we can finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, the truth is, there are still far too many people struggling right now.
This holiday season, tens of millions of Americans -- including more than 17 million children -- are facing food insecurity. Some estimates suggest that the pandemic and subsequent economic crisis doubled rates of food insecurity from last year.
That's why I'm personally asking if you could join me and give $5 -- or any amount -- directly to our local CA-25 food bank: feedSCV. Their demand is up, but donations are down. They need our support to continue providing their critical services feeding our neighbors this winter.
Kids who relied on free or reduced-cost meals at school are at risk of going hungry, and their parents are worrying about choosing between paying the rent and keeping food on the table.
These families need our help -- and feedSCV provides it in our community.
John, for those of us able to support our neighbors in need, I hope you'll join me by pitching in to feedSCV today. Anything you can give will make a real difference.
This holiday season, if you can, please join me and extend some generosity to those in need. Click here to make a donation of $5 or more to feedSCV.
Thank you,
Christy
