Rather, each state sets its own process, often by law, to govern the meeting of the electors. Most will meet in statehouses at times set out in those laws. • Electors to the Electoral College are meeting across America today, as this part of the election process is in the spotlight as never before. Joe Biden is expected to "officially pick up the Electoral College majority" after California's electors meet <[link removed]> .

• Congress will meet on January 6, 2021 "to count and certify the electoral votes" ahead of the inauguration on January 20, 2021. Rep. Mo Brooks (AL) previously said he would challenge the Electoral College results <[link removed]> , though a Senator must also join him (or any other House member) in a challenge.

• Trump advisor Stephen Miller told Fox News this morning that there would be alternate delegates elected in multiple states. As The Hill reported <[link removed]> : "Miller indicated that Trump supporters will act as 'alternates' in a handful of contested states, including Georgia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, to submit their own, unofficial results. Should the Trump campaign succeed in overturning the outcome in any of those states, Miller said, the alternate electors could then be recognized by Congress. Nothing in the Constitution or state electoral processes allows for such an 'alternate' slate of electors."

• The Wisconsin Supreme Court decided 4-3 to turn down the Trump campaign's lawsuit to invalidate 220,000 ballots in the state.

• The center of the majority opinion (read it for yourself here <[link removed]> ): "Our laws allow the challenge flag to be thrown regarding various aspects of election administration. The challenges raised by the Campaign in this case, however, come long after the last play or even the last game; the Campaign is challenging the rulebook adopted before the season began."

• The Trump campaign had previously requested a recount in two Wisconsin counties.
