In just a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a donation ahead of our FEC reporting deadline at the end of the month. This deadline is our most important test yet, and I hope you'll let me explain what I mean by that.

When the books close on September 30th, we'll report how much our campaign has raised over the last three months. But this will be the first time our fundraising report will be compared side by side with David Valadao's.

We expect his report to be full of contributions from corporate PACs and wealthy donors. On ours, we're hoping to show that our grassroots campaign is larger, stronger, and prepared to go toe-to-toe with the special interests lined up behind Valadao.

That means every single donation we receive before this FEC deadline is important. And that's why I'm reaching out this morning:

Remember, Valadao started this campaign by calling in favors from the same special interests and DC elites who supported him his entire career.

His very first publicized event was a fundraiser in Washington. That should tell you everything you need to know about who he's with.

We're doing things differently.

And this FEC deadline is our chance to remind everyone that this grassroots community is strong and prepared to fight for our shared values.
