Six months ago I was selected to become NIAC's first-ever Elections Fellow and jumped at the chance to lift up the Iranian-American community ahead of the most critical election of our lives. Over the course of my fellowship, I helped mobilize the largest Iranian-American grassroots voter outreach campaign in history, during which we hosted 28 phone and text banks, made over 29,000 calls, and sent 37,000 text messages.
I am proud to have joined a team that helped elect an unprecedented number of Iranian Americans into office, all while securing victories for our champions in Congress and defeating Donald Trump.
