Our young Black men need our sustained support.

Dear John,
[ [link removed] ]Color Of Change has less than 30 days to raise $5,000 to provide the
young men of Ron Brown College Preparatory High School (RBHS) resources to
support their 2021 Black Boy Joy Book and Movie Club. This season of
giving, will you chip in $5 to support our kids?
Located in Washington, D.C., RBHS is the only all-male school in the area
driven by the pillars of Character, Scholarship, and Service. The Black
Boy Joy Movie and Book Club was created in response to social, emotional,
and academic needs of RBHS’s Young Kings during the pandemic and distance
learning. In these historic and uncertain times, Black
children--specifically young Black men--need our sustained support to
continue learning and smiling. Since opening its doors in August of 2016,
RBHS has not run out of innovative ways to develop and enhance young men’s
character, academic curiosity, and service. Your donation and support will
provide the Young Kings of Ron Brown High School with resources to use
literature and movies to discuss and deepen course content and
connection. Can the young men of RBHS count on you John, to
support Black Boy Joy and learning?
[ [link removed] ]YES! I will chip-in $5
Not too long ago, 20,000 Color Of Change members took action and pressured
New York City public schools to invest in culturally responsive education,
ensuring Black NYC public school students had a curriculum with books and
materials containing characters who look like them, live like them, or
have similar experiences. John, this giving season invest in
our children again as they learn and cope during this unprecedented time
with culturally relevant books and movies.
[ [link removed] ]John, your donation could make a huge difference in a young
Black boys life. Will you chip in $5 to help us meet our $5,000 goal?
The Black Boy Joy Book and Movie Club is a product of the RBHS Culture and
Restorative Efforts (C.A.R.E) Team (a collective of Ron Brown’s school
psychologist, counselors, social workers, culture coach, and other
career/college readiness coaches). You can be assured that your donation
is going towards meaningful activities that will deeply enrich not only
the education the young men receive but also support their overall
well-being.
RBHS embodies the fight you helped win in New York by providing students a
student-centered, culturally relevant, college preparatory curriculum.
Now, more than ever, the Young Kings of RBHS in Washington, D.C., need
your support. John, we know times are hard but every little bit
counts when it comes to our children. [ [link removed] ]If you'd like to do even more,
become a recurring donor and support our on-going education justice work.
Until justice is real,
